Redhead Mountain Bike Park in Chisholm, Minnesota opened in 2020 with 25 miles of multi-use trails, designed for mountain biking and hiking, as well as fat biking and snowshoeing in winter. The unique landscape of Redhead immediately made it a must-experience destination. The peaks and valleys carved into the earth by miners creates a naturally dynamic trail system with a pristine, clear lake at the base for paddle sports.

Through a phased process, Redhead is adding more trails and amenities every year, turning the mined and machined landscape into a world-class mountain bike park. Owned by the City of Chisholm and operated in partnership with Minnesota Discovery Center (the trailhead), and Iron Range Off-Road Cyclists (trail maintenance volunteers), Redhead is free to ride or hike and is open 7 days a week, excluding heavy rain days and seasonal change over. The City of Chisholm, Minnesota Discovery Center and Iron Range Off-Road Cyclists are working together to make Redhead unlike anything in the region.

Chisholm Summer Recreation Program runs during the summer. The Chisholm Summer Recreation Program (CSRP) provides a variety of social and recreational activities for youth in Chisholm and the surrounding communities.
CSRP began decades ago to give Chisholm area youth a unique opportunity to participate in fun, physical, adventurous, and creative activities for several weeks in the summer, guided by older teens and adults.
The Chisholm Curling Club is the home base for CSRP. Youth entering grades 2 and up are eligible to participate in M-TH programming which begins in the middle of June for 7 weeks. CSRP is open at 9AM to 4PM and offers field trips, recreational activities, and crafts. A point system is incorporated into the program to encourage attendance and participation. Participants with the highest points are eligible to attend an incentive field trip after the program ends.

Chisholm Parks and Recreation Services continues to explore new avenues of recreation and provides recreational facilities for the public. Coming in the Summer of 2023 is a new Gaga Ball pit and Splash Pad!
