The Chisholm Economic Development Authority Meets the 1st Wednesday of every month @ 8:15 am

 

The Chisholm City Council established the "Chisholm Economic Development Authority" in 1993 through the use of an "Enabling Resolution". The organization was established in compliance with Minn. Stat. 469 et. seq.

The Chisholm Economic Development Authority assists the community with economic development projects including:

• Redevelopment
• New Development
• Business Retention
• Loan Programs
• Grant Programs

 

Chisholm Economic Development Authority has the power to perform development including: "redevelopment" and "developing" with respect to an economic development project, the cost of:

• Acquiring property
• Demolishing or removing structures; 
• Correcting soil deficiencies
• Constructing or installing public improvements, streets, roads, and utilities
• Providing relocation benefits to occupants of acquired properties
• Planning, engineering, legal, and other services necessary 
• The allocated administrative expenses of the authority for the project.
