Lateral Officer Incentives:

We value your experience. Lateral hires will receive the following upon starting:

  • 1 to less than 5 years of experience:100 hours sick leave+40 hours vacation
  • 5 or more years of experience:200 hours sick leave+80 hours vacation
  • 5 years or more of experience will start at a higher rate of pay based on the current longevity schedule ranging from 2% to 9% depending on the years of service.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be POST licensed or POST license eligible in the State of Minnesota by the date of hire.
  • Ability to successfully complete: Oral Evaluation, Background Investigation, Psychological Exam, Physical Exam, and Drug Screening.
